Environmental Sciences are saving lives!

Following Dudley and Eunice, Frankling is the third storm to hit Europe this week!

Rain, wind, and floods, Europe has seen its fair share of hardships this week, with storm Franklin hitting just a few days after storm Eunice.

The authorities have done everything in their power to minimize the effect Storm Franklin can have on people. Because even though we can not prevent or change the weather, we can prepare for it so that it doesn’t cause too much damage.

But, how can we do that?

We can now prevent the damages caused by natural phenomenons with the help of environmental experts such as meteorologists for example.

A meteorologist can analyze the earth's atmosphere using tools like satellites and radars to study the climate and weather, their reports are very important for prevention.

How can I become an environmental expert?

Well, you need the right qualifications for that and a degree in environmental sciences is a must!

  • Teesside University, Environmental Science BSc
  • Leeds Beckett University, BSc Geography and environmental science
  • The University of Sheffield, Environmental Science BSc

Those are some very good universities where you can pursue a degree in environmental sciences. Keep in mind that this particular field is growing at a faster rate than ever due to issues such as climate change and pollution.

Individuals with an environmental science degree have numerous options when it comes to jobs, including a career as a microbiologist, an environmental scientist, and an environmental engineer.

Also, a degree in environmental sciences makes for very well-paid career perspectives!

With salaries going from £45,000 a year for Environmental Health Manager to £60,000 a year for an Environmental Consultant.

Those are some very good reasons to choose a green job, right?
